What are some great places to move? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-some-great-places-to-move <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hi. I finish school in a year, and I am trying to figure out where I want to live after I pass the Bar, or where I want to take the Bar. My profession is such that finding a job, or striking out on my own will not be overly difficult, so that is not a consideration. I was thinking either beach or mountains, but beyond that I have no clue. Any helpful suggestions, and why you suggest them would be very helpful. Thanks Tue, 29 Jul 2014 10:57:09 -0400 What are some great places to move? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-some-great-places-to-move <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hi. What better place to learn the legislative process than the nation's capitol? Did I say that with a straight face? LOL <br />In all seriousness, while the cost of living is high, it is a great place to live. You are but a mere 2-3 hours drive from Baltimore and the Inner Harbor, a few hours drive to New York City, Philadelphia and Boston. Not to mention the Cherry Blossoms in the spring are to behold! If you're in business law, or deal with real estate and contracts, then any state with an oil boom needs Litigation Counsels and Landmen to negotiate land leases with current owners. Go where you feel comfortable with the prevalent political, business, tax, and economic environment. I live in Southeast TX and I love it. I've also lived in KS, NM, MD, and my wife has lived in UT, ID, IN. Between the 7 states we have experience with I like TX the best. SFC Jeff L. The cost of living is moderate, there are good schools, and the pasture lands and rolling hills push right up to the city limits. We have lots of beaches and salt water activities including some great inshore and offshore fishing. We have several reasonbly priced private country club communities offering excellent golf and business events. And we have 3 professional sports teams with the Bucs, Rays and Lightning. Tampa Bay is a growing area with lots to do. I spend a couple weeks a year in Maggie Valley, N.C. ..... because the mountains are cool too.
