It really works. The water makes you feel full, and you won't eat as much. Continue regular exercises also. Some people respond well to a low carb diet, while others do better with smaller portions and low calorie counts. If you just want to eat healthier overall then eating fruits and vegetables, grilled lean meats, less pork and fatty meats such as lamb. Avocado is super healthy. Whole grain everything if possible. Cut out as much sugar as possible, even in your foods. So use fresh vegetables instead of canned vegetables, etc. The less processed stuff you eat, the better odds you're getting something healthy. If you have an iPhone there's an app called RecipeBook. It's $0.99. But it allow you to upload recipes automatically, and has a bunch loaded already, so it helps when cooking fresh. Good luck! I even ended up on ABCP. That's when I decided to do something about it. If you have a smartphone download an app called lose it (or similar, there are others but they are all the same) Allstars you have to do after that is put in what weight you are and what weight you want to be at and the app will help you count how many calories you are putting in vs how many calories you are burning by logging your food and exercise. It also tells you your proportions of fats vs carbs vs proteins. With this app I cut about 10 lbs in a month. And just like SFC Whipple put drinking more water is essential, it starts add up when you drink a lot of the sugary beverages that most military members drink.

I hope my advice helps because it really worked for me. Next time you go, you will see what I am talking about. The outside of the store is fresh and not packaged. I stop by the store most days on my way home just to pick up what we want for super that night and lunch the next day. It costs al little more than normal but not too much more because it is not packaged.

Anything packaged isn't good and is usually loaded with stuff that is bad for you. Also, fast food is well...there isn't any real good fast food. There is a really good diet program out there that focuses on eating right versus eating nasty diet foods. It is called the metabolism diet and it is designed by Haylie Pomroy. Check it out. The book is good and it gives you simple plans to follow and I promise you will enjoy it because it is fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats etc...and they all work together in concert to give your body what it needs...and it doesn't taste like cardboard. You eat 5 times a day, smaller portions but it keeps your metabolism going. It says you can lose 20 pounds in 28 days but I am not sure about that. Me and my wife have been doing it for several months and we both have lost about 20 pounds each and a steady rate which is healthy long-term weight loss. It is a lifestyle change but a good one. However, our energy levels have shot through the roof and our focus is better.
