(Maryland Area preferably)

Long story short I just got my Associates Degree from AMU and am looking to apply for the Green to Gold Active Duty Option soon……I’m still in part 1, the acceptance phase; but, once I get to part 2 I know I will have to get accepted to a school that will take all of my credits (currently at 63CH) towards a 120CH bachelors Degree. It’s been ranked as the friendliest military school in the nation. It also has a rotc program that always accommodates green to gold. Although you have a legitimate concern about acceptance of your associates degree credits, you need to ensure that your school has a unit for commissioning. He entered as a Junior and obtained an Internship with Price Waterhouse his first semester; then the rest of the school year, starting with the first summer, he had an Internship with the FDIC - first iin Wash., D.C., then in Wexford, PA (their field office). In 3 years, he earned his BS (Accounting) and MBA and now works for Treasury with the Office of the Comptroller of Currency as a Bank Auditor. RMU was one of the few that accepted all his course work except as noted.
I don't know if RMU has a ROTC program; but they have a hell of a former General heading their Veteran's office who STRONGLY advocates on behalf of Veterans. RMU is in the Pittsburgh area. Currently, I am working towards finishing an accelerated double-masters program at the American Military University, and it is especially friendly towards active duty, reserve, and veteran folks. By the way, don't worry so much about the total number of credit hours you've earned, but more about how many of them will actually count towards your desired degree. Case in point, when I came to AMU for my double-masters program, I had already earned a master of science degree, and while almost all of my graduate credits (36 credit hours) transferred to AMU, only about 6 credit hours actually applied (as electives) to my new program. I hope this is helpful to you, and best of luck in your future endeavors. SGT Mustafa Stokely Tue, 23 Nov 2021 20:08:07 -0500 2021-11-23T20:08:07-05:00 2021-10-18T19:47:16-04:00
