I really wanted a Sony PSP and went all over trying to find one on pass. Got one at Target near my parents hotel LOL. Odd because while it did suck it was one of the better holidays at the same time.<br /><br />The day I got to tech school was 30 December. I went to take a nap after we were released from inprocessing the day we got there, almost missed an odd evening formation. Went back to bed after we were released from it at a few minutes after we all formed up, and didn't stay up for New Years.<br /><br />The next day there was no training or in-processing due to new years and I slept in very late. (sp) Me and some of my buddy&#39;s went off base to get some real food and ended up at a Korean restaurant and had our first real meal in months. Mind you I had never had Korean food before this. I had the hottest spicyist disk I had ever ate. I know I drank five glasses of water to try and cool my mouth off. The guys and the waitress were laughing and once my mouth got back to normal I laughed also. We had not officially graduated, but all our training and testing was done, all that was left was cleaning up everything for the next cycle. About 6 of us went out bowling and drinking, even though we were told no alcohol. We were late for curfew because we were having an issue getting two taxis to take us back to the billets. DS was waiting for us and walked past each of us and asked me if we were drunk. I told him no and he said, "yeah... right..... front leaning rest position ...... move..... In slow cadence exercise.....1.........2..3........4. Can't remember how many we did, but we were not as hung over the next day. We had to dump our stuff off and check into the school. There we got a list of things we had to buy and show the Chief before we got liberty for the weekend. I recall my first liberty was mostly spent in the rack. There were beer vending machines in the barracks and for a dime you got 3.2. Real beer required a run up to Wisconsin. I was able to hug my parents again. I got more than 4 hours of sleep for the first time in 2 months.. I dared put my back against a chair and eat with both hands. I was reacquainted with a Monster Energy, something I had dreamed about! And finally, I locked myself in a barracks stall and had the first bit of me time in months. All in all, bootcamp made me appreciate the little things unlike anything I could explain. 800 divisions were no joke. Had the forward most seat on the right side --- remember it well because one of the stewardesses stood behind the modesty panel on the port side and put her legs up on the jump seat to adjust her garters --- they were used to flying boots and liked to tease.<br />When I got home I borrowed my dad's car to go see my fiancé only to be told by her mother that she was out on a date with her new fiancé. Bought two fifths and went to a friend's poker party, got smashed and drove home with a CHP officer following --- seeing him in the rear view mirror instantly sobered me up.
