What are some of the most prevalent issues that veterans run into? Are these issues any different than their non-military counterparts encounter?

Not taking full advantages of the military while in and lack of planning during transition.

Not filing for VA benefits/disability BEFORE you get out.

SPC Kent Tilley Reaching out to the State Department of Veteran Services for the state you plan to return or establish residence in. Often the state has dedicated resources and local job contacts and even veteran bonuses for returning to the state. Here is Ohio's as an example.

The biggest things I noted were a lack of attention to detail, no sense of urgency. Complacency. No desire to be better and poor work ethic.

One issue is to define and be someone who has a changed constitution, as many folks come out as a different person.
