What are some of the top brands for gear, on and off duty (ie5.11/propper/tru-spec)? What are some of the products that you spend money on?

For a short time, I got "hooked" on the whole "tactical" thing...don't get me wrong, there's some uber cool stuff out there. However, I figure that unless one is working in a tactical field, a pair of pants is a pair of pants, and a shirt's a shirt. When that's the case, I just can't see spending $50 for something I can just as well get for $20.

That said, I like the 5.11 pants for the range...I just can't afford to wear that stuff for working in :)

I do have the "what if" bag, and have been happy with ADS, though I think you have to have a GSA number to order direct from them. They make some awesome light weight gear that's off the hook.

I really like the Rothco and 5.11 products. But for workwear can’t be Deluth
