Well you sort of have to lay out the question if you want anyone to answer it...

I had to lay it out in a comment. It would not fit the 140 character limit.

SGT Steve Oakes - Hey Sarge, thanks for responding. Only the title has that small limit. If, when you're posting your question, you click in the box below the title box, you have something like 600 characters. However, even that's easily circumvented by posting your question with the title, then clicking the 'edit' button on the bottom left, after. That has no limits whatsoever. I hope this helps! As for your question, I am not familiar enough with Mexican culture to help, sorry.

Thanks for the info on the question. I do not often ask anything on here.

Steve,

I can help you. You were supposed to drink the beer. It's an old American tradition as well.
Good Luck!
Rick

My wife and I were invited to the Fifteenth birthday party of our son's girlfriends sister.
The Father sent over Five beers to me at our table. I am guessing this has some significance but was unable to find anything online to explain. Can anyone help here?

perhaps he was just being generous and thought you would want some beers

That is what I thought at first. But then we noticed that he did the same for his brothers and his father. It seems to indicate being part of the family or an honored guest or something. In any case we were just happy to be invited. But if I was payed some kind of honor, or show of respect I would like to understand it.

A girl's 15th birthday in Mexican tradition is the quinceanera. It's a right of passage for women. I'm sure you gathered that much. But as for the 5 beers thing, the only thing I can say is that he probably just expected you to drink them. I have some Mexican relatives, and they often go through that many beers, especially at parties. Not being Mexican myself, that's my best answer for you.
