Do some research, different news agencies and make that determination yourself. You can search the internet just as well as the rest of us. One of the best resources would be to use Gale Onefile: War and Terrorism* which provides access to more than 1.7 million articles on the causes of war and terrorism and those impacts on a global scale.

All MWR eligible individuals* can access it through https://dodmwrlibraries.org/ for free. If you don't have access, the odds are in your favor that if you are at a college/university or have a large public library system in your area, that they will have a subscription that you'll be able to access them through it.
