Without a doubt, there are truly some great resources available to active and Reserve component personnel and veterans. Of course, if folks don't know that they're out there, members and their families couldn't possibly benefit from some of these amazing offers and services. So, the idea here is to share those helpful tidbits of information, tips, links, lessons learned, processes, resources, wisdom and/or POCs to help members find the resources they need for their troops, their families, and to help themselves. Just a couple of quick admin notes, please make sure to share the source if known, and remember to post in accordance with RallyPoint guidelines. Well, I'm certain that will be a great way to get timely information, resources, and assistance to those who need it most, when they need it the most... so, if you have something useful, helpful, or good-to-know, please feel free to share. Alright folks, it's that time, so pull-up a keyboard and let's get this thing started; thank you for all that you do, and... see you all in the discussion threads!

These are all great links... having them in one location is good for current job seekers. I knew of these but had to find them all separately. It has also been a while since I have used them personally but it is a great asset to current troops leaving service.

For Veterans, I always recommend that they contact a Veterans Service Officer for assistance (especially with VA benefits). &nbsp; &nbsp; In many states they are located down to county level and most are accredited through multiple organizations. &nbsp; All services are provided free of charge. &nbsp;I am including a link for the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers to find a service officer near you.<div><br></div><div>http://nacvso.org/find-a-service-officer/<br></div><div class="pta-link-card"><div class="pta-link-card-picture"><img src="http://nacvso.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/nacvso-header.jpg"></div><div class="pta-link-card-content"><div class="pta-link-card-title"><a target="_blank" href="http://nacvso.org/find-a-service-officer/">Find a Service Officer | NACVSO</a></div><div class="pta-link-card-description">To find your local Service Officer, select your state from the list below. I recommend the American Legion for any questions. My local V.A. just tells me any thing I already know. If I do not know something they will not tell me.

Found another good transitioning discussion here on RP started by our very own CH (CPT) Heather Davis that references the article about a study regarding troop readiness for transition. Ths discussion can be found here: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-are-you-ensuring-that-you-are-ready-for-the-transition

Another good find - from @ COL Mikel Burroughs * RP Members, Connections, Military Families, and Service Members getting ready to transition off Active Duty check out this amazing opportunity for FREE TRAINING to get you on your way to a successful transition opportunity. Please connect with Christopher Werner , Civilian Recruiter right here on RallyPoint – his contact information is below.

https://www.stillwaterhc.com/veterans-continued-.html

The company, Stillwater Human Capital is based out of the Washington D.C. area and they specialize in Recruiting however their core mission is to help Veterans start their career in the corporate world with a variety of their defense and intelligence clients. They do this by providing free training that introduces them to the basics of corporate recruiting. If students are successful in completing the training they are then placed with major government contractors around the DC area as Stillwater consultants or they hire them internally to work on specialized recruiting projects in support of national security from their Herndon, VA office. Starting salary for these positions is $52,000.00 per year with full healthcare benefits for their employees and families.

I'm reaching out to everyone and hoping that some Veterans could benefit from this great training program. They hold training classes throughout the year so they’re always looking for talented Veterans.

If you'd be interested in hearing more of the specifics about the class, please check out the link above for their Mission.

Also provide here is a link to read testimonials of those veterans that have gone through the program and reached success:
