My advice is, if you want to make money in that DITY move, ensure that you use every last pound of your limit, and don&#39;t forget to do your empty and full weigh ins and keep those receipts. You are minimally charged for I think 19 ft. If you need more you use it and they charge extra per foot. The key is to stack all the way to the ceiling. At the end you block and braced, with the equipment they provide and you put a lock on the brace. The truck will then rent the little bit of space left (if any) for commercial companies like Best Buy. Another advice get it on like a Thursday, they wont pick it up on the weekend so you get an additional day free. I did this with very little help and I was tired! If you can get some help it won&#39;t be so bad. <br />The trucks ships the trailer to a hub in your destination location till your ready. When your ready you set a date and you get your trailer with three days to unload it. If you need more days to load or unload you can but they charge for. The link I included is the website I&#39;m sure you can find all the info you need on it. O and the company provides you the weight tickets, empty and full.<br /><br />Just remember follow Regulations! No cement or concrete blocks to increase your weight! I heard a story of someone buying bags of cement from Lowes to increase weight then returned the bags. When he turned his paperwork in to get paid from the Army he accidentally turned that receipt in. Needless to say he lost his rank. <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.upack.com/abf">abf</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 29 at 2016 11:47 AM 2016-12-29T11:47:03-05:00 2016-12-29T11:47:03-05:00 SFC Dennis A. 2198793 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A lot of it depends on what companies are available where you are and what companies are near where you are moving to. If you have to pay a relocation fee on the truck it a can add a big expense to your move. They are all about the same. Penske you pay per day and they have a lot of discounts. U haul you pay per mile but it&#39;s a better ride. Also have the movers pack your stuff for you. They will pack everything for you and all you have to do is load and unload and unpack. I would still stay make the army move you since it&#39;s less stressful Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 30 at 2016 10:56 AM 2016-12-30T10:56:31-05:00 2016-12-30T10:56:31-05:00 MSgt Private RallyPoint Member 2254959 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In my experience Penske is the way to go. Cheaper, better gas mileage, newer trucks. Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 17 at 2017 12:00 AM 2017-01-17T00:00:24-05:00 2017-01-17T00:00:24-05:00 2016-12-29T10:26:50-05:00
