I was a Field Artillery officer deployed to Iraq in 2004-2005 as a "non-standard" mission doing base defense, and force protection duties. We took over for an ADA unit on our base. ADA and Field Artillery (FA) are still needed, but as much as what needed in anti-terrorism operations.

In Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO), i.e. traditional warfighting/battles, both ADA and FA Fires are critical to the fight and maneuver commander. We'll need Fires from now until there's never any war on earth... which will probably be a long time!Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 26 at 2021 4:38 PM2021-08-26T16:38:52-04:002021-08-26T16:38:52-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7218836

Literally every MOS can deploy. VERY good!
