What are the chances of getting my waiver approved for the Army Guard (an Air Force RE-2B for minor disciplinary infractions)? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-the-chances-of-getting-my-waiver-approved-for-the-army-guard-an-air-force-re-2b-for-minor-disciplinary-infractions <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello Rallypoint!<br />I am currently going through reenlistment process.<br />I got discharged from the Air Force (2014) after 1 years of service for minor disciplinary infractions which all happened during my parents sudden divorce in a short 4 week window:<br /><br />-late to class on numerous occasions<br />-missed assignments<br />-falling asleep in class<br />-unintentionally marking on testing paper on numerous occasions<br /><br />I want to stop right here and say that I regret all my wrong doing but I do not regret the lessons learned.<br />Outside of this short window I have been a good Airman and received numerous letters of appreciations.<br />My flight commander (O-3) also recommended me remaining in the Air Force after seeing major improvement in the following months however squadron decided to continue the separation which was a tough pill for me to swallow.<br /><br />I received an Honorable Conditions discharge with Narrative &quot;Minor Infractions&quot; and an RE code of 2B, which barres me to reenlist into the Air Force.<br /><br />The Army turned me away ice cold in 2016 saying it can not be waived<br />but I just found a Guard Recruiter who said that it can be waived.<br />I have no criminal history what so ever, I am a licensed pilot, licensed firearms owner, some college, a web developer for a very reputable company and really dedicated my life in the past years making myself look as presentable as possible for the Army/Guard.<br /><br />My suitability review from battalion came back as APPROVED already.<br />My ASVAB is an 84 and my MEPS physical is excellent and fully qualified.<br />My waiver request just got submitted but I am just so nervous about the results. This is my dream to get back in and I long for nothing more than this.<br />My packed also includes my former flight commanders recommendation to remain in service as well as endorsements from 2 field grade officers as well as my local congressman.<br /><br />What are the odds my friends?
