What are the chances of my deletion of orders being approved?

I am married to a civilian, he has been supportive of my army career thus far but as soon as I got orders for Korea he is wanting to call it quits. We have 2 toddlers and he wants to give me custody. But the problem is I don't have a family care plan at the moment because I have always been married to a non-service member. I currently don't have a someone that could watch them long term if I had to go to Korea. Is there any chance that I could get these orders deleted or would I be put out the Army for not having a family care plan? My reason for deletion would be due to I guess family hardship since I am separating from my spouse and not having the time for the legal process (custody/ family care plan) since its basically September and I report in January.

Sounds like your husband is a shitbag...
You can attempt to get a DEC(?) signed. Your career would probably be over though. I don't know many people who are allowed to reenlist after having put in a DEC(?) request.

Your chances, I would venture based on your situation, are pretty good. Talk with your NCOs, your Chain, and your S1 to get this ball rolling. At the same time, start getting your FCP started. It would be ludicrous to ding you for not having a plan when your husband decided to cut tail and run to the hills at one of the worst possible moments. If memory serves, I believe there is a section on the HRC website that has info and Q&A about Enlisted Compassionate Actions. Might be helpful information for you.

Orders to Korea aren't getting deleted. You can bring your spouse accompanied.

You could get a deferment depending on how far out your PCS date is. Other than that you will need to work the program and smestablish a Family care plan. You are required a plan even if you do not go overseas. All types of deployments come into play, even routine training. Thank you for your service.

AR-608-99 will help in some ways also specifically pertaining to overseas. Submit for deferment due to needing to appear in court involving child custody that way you can get a decree stating what you can and can not do on the civilian side pertaining to the kids. Sure, you can take your family to korea but, say your soon to be ex husband has a change of heart once the kids are out of country, he could try all kinds of things if he wanted. Ar 608-99 does help with knowledge on all of this a great deal. Everytime i mention it, i get the deer in headlights look. This could be for future refrence i suppose.
