I&#39;d like to continue my career in a specialty outside of the Infantry to gain experience in a field that may serve me better after the military. I served as a Recruiter for over four years and wanted to remain in the 79 CMF. I was unable to convert to 79R due to them closing the MOS to E-6(P) and E-7 while I was on my one year extension. I&#39;m currently at nine months of Platoon Sergeant time and I&#39;m curious if I would be required to complete my 24 months of KD time before applying, or if I could start the process to reclass before that time given I meet the prerequisites. I have twelve years time in service, almost a year time in grade, and received my Gold Recruiter Badge (I know this could help in the past). <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We do not accept SFC or greater than <br /> 12 years Time in Service. We accept SGT (P) and some SSG with a waiver. To my knowledge we have never accepted a SFC, and I know we have not accepted one since I became a Counselor 10 years ago.
