This appears to be an ongoing "hot" topic. With a wide variety of opinions and experiences that seem to be at least partly related to location, command climate, and availability of services. I'd love to hear about perceptions, experiences, and critiques.

One of the difficulties I see with seeing an on-post provider is most of them are civilians. This being said the problem is the lack of training/understanding with most of them regarding military culture. Specifically how not all behaviors are pathological and how weak diagnostics can ruin a career or at least make it very problematic for a soldier. Some of the Brigade assets are under immense pressure to "preserve the fighting force" or "get rid of this one" by commands.
