What are the Current Tuition Assistance Limitations like for Active Duty?

I already have a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, and was just informed by a young sailor that T.A. will only pay for your masters program - As opposed to earning another degree in an unrelated field. I am seriously considering returning to active duty, partly so I can study optometry. But will T.A. say no to that?

Are you saying you want a bachelor in Optometry? That wouldn't actually make you am optometrist. You need a Doctorate for that, but TA isn't authorized for Doctoral or PhD programs.
