Today (8 Jul 2020) as noted in the papers, LTC Alexander Vindman supposedly submitted his retirement packet. It would be interesting to know what some military personnel feel about the LTC (as well as his brother) and their work while assigned as members of the NSC over the past couple years. His brother was also a part of the NSC, but in a different section as I understand it. I also read today that LTC A. Vindman was selected for COL, but probably did not know if it would have been approved since it required White House approval. Your thoughts on LTC Vindman's actions and his involvement in President Trump's US House of Representatives impeachment process? I have my personal opinions, but would like to know what the field thinks of his involvement during the whole process.

An LTC does not set policy no matter how correct he thinks he is. I assume the 3 years he would have to complete as an O6 would have been challenging for him. I’m sure he will have many oppotmade available at much higher salaries at MSNBC. I wish him well and happiness.

CW2 (Join to see) - I just reread your response. 15 years of your life was a secret and that proves, let me repeat that. That proves without a doubt that you know more than everybody else and anybody that doesn’t agree with you must be an ass hat. There’s no possibility that someone could be in disagree with you and not be dumber than shit. There’s no possibility anything you say or do could be incorrect in anyway shape or form. You can stop using anonymous because I now know your name is Donald Trump

1SG (Join to see) - I one BILLION PERCENT DISAGREE! HE LIED, plan and simple! He should have been tried under UCMJ, put in Leavenworth and the key thrown away. He IS a political pawn that knowing and willfully let himself be used for political uses. This treasonous acts should have been dealt with by the military and NOT allowed to retire. This SOB has brought great disgrace apon the America, US Military, and the Army.

MAJ David Stokes - Oh please! Draft dodger Don is the corrupt actor here. He should be tried for treason and he has singularly brought disgrace and distain upon America. His pandering to Saudi Arabia and Russia is deplorable. His nepotism has filled the WH with incompetents. Don has made a career of bullying those who disagree with him. And Vindman is just another victim.

Enjoy retirement, pretty sure he was done hanging out in the Ukraine with the great gig. He contradicted himself on the stand and went outside the CoC when he didnt like the results. Sorry but he will have a great time being called a "War Hero" on CNN but retirement is best for all involved.

COL William Oseles - Exactly. He was playing politics and it bit him in the rear. Unless he wasn't an absolute idiot he had to know what would happen if the President wasn't removed from office. On the other hand, you could be that smart if you thought the President would actually be removed from office.

I believe that he endangered National Security as well as his brother and should be investigated by the Army for his conduct on the NSC.

CPT Ian Stewart - BY the way, it is a nice statue, and became an icon, but as far as taking guidance from France on anything, I defer to the fact that they have not won ANYTHING, without American help since Napoleon...And did not win much before that, as the English King had territory in France and the french got their asses handed to them in the French and Indian War and in Canada.....SO, No, an French Inscription on a Statue....Nothing here, Remember, Going to War without the French as an ally is like going hunting without an accordion.

SSG Roger Ayscue - While the statue was a gift from the French people to the United States, but "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…” Those words were written by poet Emma Lazarus (a Jewish-American) and placed on the United States' Statue of Liberty. Since 1903, they have welcomed millions of immigrants as they entered New York harbor.

CPT Ian Stewart - Perhaps so, and yes, they have welcomed many to our shores, the difference is that they came in legally, registered at Ellis Island, and were assimilated into US Culture. By and Large they LEARNED THE LANGUAGE and ASSIMILATED.
Captain, while I am not heartless, you can not convince me that I am totally wrong. We have gotten into a Societal mess where those that come into the country, especially those in Muslim communities want to impose the laws from where they left upon us, those from Eastern Europe try to bring in Socialist and Communist ways...
I want Individual Responsibility for every individual. I want people to bring more to the table than they consume and I want people to never be rewarded for bad life choices. You are like many that would rather have 1000 cheats on the system if it would insure that no one who needs help falls through the cracks. I on the other hand want to do whatever is needed to catch and prosecute the cheats while helping those then need it. I still believe that Socialism is opposed to the US Constitution. I took an oath to defend the Constitution.

OH and by the way, I am sick and tired of seeing Left Wing politicians use taxpayer money to buy the votes of those that bring nothing to the table but consume most of the food on the table. It is like having that Cousin that comes to the family reunion and brings nothing but a truck load of rude kids that tear up your house and then at dinner time they eat all the chicken legs and complain that there are not more. At some point the rest of the family wants them to go away, or learn how to fry chicken on their own.

SSG Roger Ayscue - I don't know where you get your information from, but I can guess - Fox "news", Breitbart, Info Wars. It is pointless for us to continue this conversation. Neither of us is going to sway the other, so this will be my last comment. It has been interesting to say the least. Bye
