I'm creating my first subtitle (.srt) file now for my next YouTube video.

I use subtitles a lot because sometimes it is hard to hear or read the actors lips. The letter coloring versus the background making it difficult to see, the letter size being too small and the font being too thin or fancy making it hard to read. Those are the ones that I have with some videos and even movies.

Are those viewing settings usually due to default settings of the player or customized subtitle files?

SGT (Join to see) - Well when ever I put subtitles on it is just what shows up. I don't think I can change it. Sorry didn't see your voting buttons when I responded.

TSgt Melissa Post - Depends on your player. VLC allows changing of color, font, etc.. I had to check. This is all new to me as well. Are there other popular players that you know don't for sure?

Some that I have found doesn't seem to make any coherent sense. Like it is just thrown together and 1 cannot follow or understand. Thanks SGT (Join to see)

It seems many people simply push videos through a translator without checking them for accuracy. Thanks for the feedback. Anything else?
