What are the odds of reenlisting and reclassifying to 68X after being out of the Reserves for 8 years?

I'm reenlisting after being out of reserves for 8 years and want to reclass to a 68X because I got the scores on my asvab. What's the odds in this dream coming true?

Asvab scores don’t hold the same weight when you’re processing as a prior service applicant. You go off of the current business rules.

Was this your original mos?...the info you supplied is limited. Are you trying active duty? Back to the reserves...can not answer, but will say it will be based on availability and or RCP waivers. Expect rank reduction etc....you should expound more on your original post...hoooah!

I just came back in after a 6 year break in service. I was an 11B before and was only offered 11B again. I’m also going back through OSUT all over again

There’s no way you will get 68W.It’s based on Army needs,perhaps there are a lot of prior service Army and other branch members trying to get back into the Army(Active,NG and Reserve) hence prior service are not a priority to Army therefore you will be assigned an MOS that the Army deemed undermanned and hard to fill mostly combat arms MOS; 11X,11B,11C,19D,19K,18X etc.
Since you have more than 5yrs break in service,you will go through BCT again.
