Moises Calderon 3408187 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello my name is Moises and about 6 months ago I was released from the Navy for Anxiety. I didn’t complete boot camp and it was my very first incident with anxiety ever in my life. I had called a few months back to an Air Force recruiting station and all they told me was to wait for my 6 months to be up to be able to talk. I got an Re3 code which gives me the possibility to be able to re enlist with a waiver only. I just wanted to know what are the actual possibilities of being able to join as active or reserve and what should I do before contacting the recruiting station again? Again it was my very first incident of anxiety the doctor there at boot told me it was probably caused by being deprecated from my family for too long but I’m fact it had to do with the fact that I couldn’t float. Please help thank you! What are the possibilities of re-entry with an RE-3 code (anxiety waiver)? 2018-03-02T12:14:53-05:00 Moises Calderon 3408187 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello my name is Moises and about 6 months ago I was released from the Navy for Anxiety. Beyond that don&#39;t limit yourself to one service. If being in the military is something that you want to do, the branch shouldn&#39;t really matter because they all have pretty much the same opportunities with a few exceptions. If you have issues with swimming, try Army or AF instead of Navy Response by Lt Col Charlie Brown made Mar 2 at 2018 12:35 PM 2018-03-02T12:35:39-05:00 2018-03-02T12:35:39-05:00 SGT David T. 3408491 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Anxiety isn&#39;t something that just goes away. So you have to ask yourself if it is realistic that you can make it through. Don&#39;t tell me, just think about it for yourself. If you feel that it is under control, then try again. I would suggest attempting to see if swimming would cause it outside of the military. If it happens again, then you may wish to reconsider. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes our body does some strange things. Either way best of luck to you. You say you had problems with swimming. Problems with heights, tight spaces, or flying? Take your 6 month wait and find out. Not only could an anxiety attack put you in a bad situation, but could endanger others. I have been sitting on my ass in IRR for 5 years. I was discharged early from the U.S Army National Guard of New York for misconduct in 2013. This was 6 months into my second contract after I re-enlisted. I received an honorable discharge with RE-3 code. When you receive this code you have to wait 3 years to attempt re-enlistment. So in 2016 I began searching and meeting U.S Army active duty recruiters in my city, New York City. Initially, recruiters were not willing to work with me. They would rather recruit fresh meat straight out of high school. So I tried again in 2017 with no luck once again. Those recruiters were all E-5s(SGT) and E-6s(SSG). This year I met an E-7(SFC) who really took a liking to me. He heard my story and recognized my passion and potential. Thanks to him my process has begun for re-enlistment. I met with him on 1/22/18 overweight. He told me to return in 30 days at least 20 pounds lighter to meet H&amp;W standards. I showed up 2/22/18 25 pounds lighter and he was impressed. He immediately began to work on my packet. I have just completed my eNSQ and he sent out a form to request all my military documents. I am now waiting to be cleared and given a MEPS date.
