The PT test is a standard of the school though. However, I went over 10 years ago. So I am fairly certain that some things may have changed. If the PT test is how I remember it, it is in a gravel pit area and you place your hands for the push-up event on a wooden bar. Once you completed the minimum requirements, the cadre told you to get up. There was no opportunity to get a 300+ score or some sort of iron soldier competition. Not like it should really matter for this basic course. You have students of all different ranks from all walks of the military and all variations of time in service. You may even have a SGM or high ranking officer in your class too. Nonetheless, do not stress about it too much. If you do not succeed in something while you are in that course, you will have other opportunities. Best of luck to you.
