I have heard from many that if a veteran living in Germany has a (German residency permit), that employment on post is not possible. Any body who might be able to explain why this is? What are the rules for veterans living in Germany who want to find government contracting positions on US Military Installations? 2018-01-01T13:19:45-05:00 SPC Brady Allen 3216647 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am living here in Germany, and I am curious to see what the rules and regulations for a veteran seeking to find on post employment. You first have to find the contractor with open positions. If German nationlals can work on base you can. The real issue is the amount of competition for such positions. Good luck, and thank you for your service. As for a spouse they also have a preference and they have an easier time transferring when you change Duty stations. I&#39;m not trying to be a know-it-all but I&#39;m a former Army civilian employee.
