Also seen quite a few unit pages as well. These are usually managed by base personnel and would be easy to reach out to for info. I'd start there and see if you can offer to put your unit in for some 'face time' with the social media lead or start your own page. RallyPoint is also a great tool for recruiting future soldiers. Through your connections and visible endorsements, you can start searching for candidates that would be a good fit for your unit. On the RP unit pages, you can also sort the past, present, and inbound members to your unit.

On a quick search I found the Fort Jackson base paper Facebook Page:
https://www.facebook.com/RallyPoint?ref=hl#!/FortJacksonLeader
Try searching FB and twitter for some of the units inside the base. Might find some more hits. All the best!

Brandon Capt Brandon Charters Wed, 18 Sep 2013 12:05:13 -0400 2013-09-18T12:05:13-04:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 18 at 2013 1:01 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-ways-to-improve-the-unit-pride-in-my-unit-with-those-on-social-media?n=74&urlhash=74

Capt Charters,
Thanks, we have a battalion Family Readiness Group FB Page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/4-10-Family-Readiness-Group/ [login to see] 6927?ref=hl) that members of the FRG manage, and I'm aware of the ability to track past, present and future members of the battalion.
What I'm trying to do is continue to find ways to reach out to the current members of the unit so they share their pride across social media without becoming a "bad" site.
Any other ideas are welcome!
Jkp LTC Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 18 Sep 2013 13:01:02 -0400 2013-09-18T13:01:02-04:00 Response by CPT Aaron Kletzing made Sep 18 at 2013 5:52 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-ways-to-improve-the-unit-pride-in-my-unit-with-those-on-social-media?n=86&urlhash=86

LTC Purvis, what if there was a way on RallyPoint for members of your unit, while discussing things inside your unit page, could share appropriate types of info on Facebook, just by clicking a Share button? I am in the National Guard and we cater to the community also and just our soldiers. I pretty much took on the role of a Social Media Officer my company. I created a page and often post content on it for members of the unit and their families. While we are training I ensure we try to collect any media from our training and post it on the site. I also post events in our units history. Now we have additional Company level Senior NCOs and officers utilizing this as a tool. The link below is to my company page.
