Over here at Fort Lee, the Regimental awards are actually very popular and well known, but other than here, I'd agree that very few people are aware of them, or of the process needed to have them awarded. It is easy nominate someone as long as you know what they have done or you can get them to write you a bio of what they have done in their careers that's engineer related. I am a recipient of the order of Samuel Sharpe (ordnance corps) as well as the order of Saint Maurice (Infantry) some of these medals can be awarded to Soldiers that do not hold an MOS in that particular field, like me getting the Infantry's St, Maurice. I have a few write ups saved somewhere if anybody needs help or ideas of what it should look like then just let me know.
