What are you thinking of the President’s decision to get the US involved in Syria, just after he said we are getting out?

While it sucks that we are getting involved in this way I do feel a sense of pride that POTUS is standing up and doing something instead of threatening a line in the sand and then not following through. I’m not sure any of the other candidates, had they won, would have done the same. I really like the coalition piping out of thin air. No bragging that they were going to do it- just get it done and go. All this despite a large number of Americans, driven by the media, hoping he falls. New respect for the POTUS from this guy!

I think he wanted to prove that it wasn't a line in the sand that he wouldn't do anything about. Maybe it was exacerbated by the chemical attack on the Russian double agent and his daughter. I think it's a message to both the Russians and the syrians even if the US told the Russians in advance where the attacks were going to be. I'm still watching.

I think he is re-evaluating the situation based on new developments, which is what any intelligent leader would do.
