Get a home inspection before you make a offer. Keep in mind that ALL homes, to include new construction, have things wrong with them so don’t sweat the small stuff. You can fix it. It’s the major expensive stuff that you must be aware of. Remember that home inspectors can only inspect what is excessable to them.

One thing I ran into a few years ago when buying our house. Make sure you are in possession of any pictures taken buy the home inspector and in color if possible. (Florida Laws on hurricane roof strapping)
