According to the General, my plans are to shampoo a carpet and dig out an area where she wants to have a flower garden...oh...and after last night's high winds, cut up a big branch that came off of a tree in the back yard.

GySgt Ekblad I'll be riding my 2015 Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra through Winslow, AZ headed to Tucson, AZ and then on to Tombstone, AZ, and back to Oceanside, CA from the 14th through the 17th of May 2015. Joining up with one if my retired Air Force buddies for a little joy ride and relaxation!

GySgt Wayne A. Ekblad in addition to be Armed Forces Day, May 16 is the birthday of one of my sons. This is a bitter-sweet Armed Forces Day for me.
I plan on relaxing on May 16 as much as I can. On that day my thoughts will be drifting towards those on active duty and the difficult situations they are experiencing. My thoughts and prayer for those on active duty are not limited to Armed Forces Day. They happen throughout the year.
My oldest son is incarcerated in Ft Leavenworth for crimes he did not commit. The Article 32 investigation recommended that the charges be dropped. It was a time when there was a perception of injustice in the military at that time and the GO convening authority ignored the Article 32 results and proceeded with a Court Martial. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 75th Rangers at the time. Unfortunately positive testimony for my son and negative testimony against his accusers was prohibited [perjured themselves either or both during the Art 32 investigation and Court Martial].
My 2nd oldest son, whose birthday is May 16, is in the final stages of divorce after his wife left him. He is honorable and he has been working with his soon-to-be ex-father-in-law who thinks very highly of him. We have been dog-sitting his pit pull and bull dog and re-training them.

Going to a local cemetery to place flowers on my Mother's grave in honor of Mother's Day ( a bit late) and the year since her death. While I'm there I'll visit my grandparents (both sets are there ) and place flags on my father, grandfather, step-grandfather, & great uncle graves Dad was involved with the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the other 3 were WWII vets. My grandmothers and great aunt will get flowers too.
