What are your plans for the 2015 Labor Day weekend?

For some school has already re-started. However many are enjoying the "end" of summer [yes, I know summer officially ends on the September equinox] and squeezing every bit out of it they can.
How will you be spending this weekend? I hope that all my RallyPoint friends will have a great weekend and spend time with family and friends. Yet I know that some of you are deployed away from your family and friends. I hope that those deployed will receive expressions of love and support from loved ones back home.

I hope to be able to relax with family and friends this weekend and definitely plan on attending church on Sunday where I serve as an usher each weekend. While my children are all fully grown and don't have any grandchildren, I have many friends with young children who are grieving the end of summer and the closing of the outdoor pools here in Virginia after Monday.

Saturday is LSU Game Day/my annual kickoff party, Sunday Church then brunch with family and friends and Monday even though it is a day off I still have several work related items to complete and prepare for the rest of the week.

In the past we would head out at 7AM to head for the County Fair, This year I'll stay home and care for the Mrs. Haven't even reminded her that the fair was happening this weekend....We miss a lot these days. But I owe her many many years....

Thanks, buddy. I hope you have a great Labor day weekend, as well.

My son and his family will be visiting us and we will overdose on football (ROLL TIDE!!!) and BBQ, as well as relax in and by the pool. We'll go to church on Sunday and then watch some more football.

My son, grandson, and I will have to find a way to escape the shopping excursions my wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter will try to drag us off on.

Looking forward to a great long weekend and hope everyone else has one, as well.

I will be working in the yard on Saturday and Monday. Sunday will be church and relaxation. How is this different from other weekends? It's not!

I am putting a large chunk of beast, rubbed with the finest of spices, on a metal grate and apply the smoke of pecan for as long as it takes to bring said chunk of beast to a temperature of ~190 degrees F. I will let said chunk of beast rest for a bit before carving this large chunk into smaller chunks suitable for gnawing. Served with a collection of sauteed vegetables and possibly a bit of rice.
