What are your responsibilities to the Army during a sponsored graduate school program?

For everyone out there who has pursued or is currently pursuing a graduate degree via either Advanced Civil Schooling or the GRADSO option, I have 2 questions for you:

1. What military responsibilities did you have during the school year? Did you have to take a PT test, report to formations, have someone sign your leave form so you can travel, etc.? Or was it as simple as calling someone once a month so they can ensure you aren't dead?

2. What did you do within the 2 year graduate school program when classes were not in session? Did you have to assist ROTC summer camp in some way or help Cadet Command recruit future Officers?

If there's anything else you can share about your ACS/GRADSO experience, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Several of my fellow grad school classmates were full time military (though I was not), so I can comment on some of your questions.

1) There were no PT tests, formations, etc. I'm not sure if there was any monthly reporting to a unit, but if there was, I'm sure it was nothing more than an email or a simple call.

2) The officers in my program (business school) had flexibility to do what they wanted... they could work full time in an internship, but they could not be paid for it, so I do not know anybody who did that. From what I could tell, others found a way to basically do what they wanted (travel, etc.). This might vary depending on who your proponent is.
