What are your thoughts on Congress speaking about VA and military benefits?

Why is it that during every election period we hear about veterans and our military pay and benefits? Congress votes on these things, they never seem to get slighted on pay, benefits and bonuses! Why is the most crucial and underpaid job out here a bargaining tool? When do we start demanding representation from Congress?

SFC (Join to see) It's pretty simple. Most politicians, including the one who is current residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, are willing to say almost anything to get your vote. And, the Military / Veteran vote is a critical group for any presidential contender. It is only the ones with strong moral fiber, and a love for this country, who actually reach out to the people, and try to keep the promises that they made when they actually needed your vote.
