What are your thoughts on facing the - Post Cold War Period (starting 27 Dec 1991)?

I am in constant search for interesting information with which to understand the world around me. I work hard NOT to be lulled into arguments that are "red herrings". I admit, I am not always successful, but I refuse to be labelled.

Free thinking requires courage and the ability to take calculated risks to get to a singular strand of truth common across all media sources, beyond the bluster of rhetoric the spews like so much lava from an angry volcano.

I feel the Post-Cold War Period is MORE dangerous that the Cold War Period!!

I feel the Post-Cold War Period is LESS dangerous that the Cold War Period!

I feel both periods have their UNIQUE threats to Global peace and stability!

I don't want to answer - just too scared to engage!

Mankind has been fighting since we came out of the jungle and formed tribes for mutual protection. Now the tribes are just much larger. (We called them countries).
I do not expect this to end until the earth can no longer be habitable.
