What are your thoughts on the Combat vehicle crewman uniform (CVC) cleanliness? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-your-thoughts-on-the-combat-vehicle-crewman-uniform-cvc-cleanliness <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am Currently a 91B Vehicle Mechanic and I believe that the purpose of the coveralls(CVC) worn by soldiers is to keep the soldier safe and clean. To be able to uphold professionalism while wearing the ACU uniform. Do you think that the coveralls(CVC) should be just as clean and have the same professional look and requirements as the ACU. The regulation on the matter is very blunt on the cleanliness of the (CVC) uniform. What are your thoughts?  You can reference the (CVC) in: (AR 670-1 Chapter 11, DA PAM 670-1 Chapter 11) Mon, 21 Apr 2014 17:16:21 -0400 What are your thoughts on the Combat vehicle crewman uniform (CVC) cleanliness? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-your-thoughts-on-the-combat-vehicle-crewman-uniform-cvc-cleanliness <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am Currently a 91B Vehicle Mechanic and I believe that the purpose of the coveralls(CVC) worn by soldiers is to keep the soldier safe and clean. So yes, they are held to the same standard as regular ACUs. <div><br></div><div>I'm pretty sure you are talking the coveralls, although I don't know the "real" name for those.</div> SPC David Beam Mon, 21 Apr 2014 18:40:38 -0400 2014-04-21T18:40:38-04:00 Response by SFC William Swartz Jr made Apr 21 at 2014 7:24 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-your-thoughts-on-the-combat-vehicle-crewman-uniform-cvc-cleanliness?n=107721&urlhash=107721 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><p>The CVC is for crewmembers to wear when they are involved in combat or during gunnery exercises (at least the tank side of things) for safety as the NOMEX material is fire resistant (or retardant, I forget which) for safety, same reason why we were never supposed to wear jungle boots when firing the tank. Yeah they should be clean, but they are not the mechanics coveralls used for maintaining vehicles to save the ACUs from unnecessary dirt, oil, grease or grime, two different sets of coveralls.</p><p> </p> SFC William Swartz Jr Mon, 21 Apr 2014 19:24:04 -0400 2014-04-21T19:24:04-04:00 Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 7 at 2015 10:38 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-your-thoughts-on-the-combat-vehicle-crewman-uniform-cvc-cleanliness?n=578150&urlhash=578150 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been in for 9 yrs.
