Greenlight A Vet is a movement to establish visible national support for veterans by encouraging people to change one light to green in their homes as a symbol of support and appreciation.

It'd be nice if people stopped with symbolic gestures and provided assistance that mattered, money, food, housing, education, etc... Nice feelings don't really benefit anyone other than the individual doing it..

It sounds like a great idea but how will I feel if I go out that evening and don't see any green lights because the program hasn't been well advertised (this is the first I've heard of it)? Will I be depressed because I now have proof positive that no one cares? You know what? I think I'll stay home on Veterans Day rather than take a chance...

Spread the word!!! Would be great to see millions of Americans with green lights out front and not just for the next couple of days! Here is my front porch last night... ;)
