COL Mikel J. Burroughs did you mean to say Charlie West instead of Allen West?
I have certainly agreed with much of what Congressman Allen West has stated over the years.

QUITE SIMPLY ONE OF THE BEST SPEECHES EVER!
Former Congressman and US army veteran Allen West making a passionate and emotional speech to over 12,000 people in Times Square at the 'Stop Iran Deal Rally...
LTC Stephen F. What would I do without you in the morning. After listening to it I got so excited and I didn't pay attention. Actually, my good friend Kim Bolen RN CCM ACM sent me this link this morning and this is what she had to say. That is where Charile came in - my bad

LCDR Rabbi Jaron Matlow I don't and I don't think the American people want to either. I think they are just looking for some stronger leadership at the helm. I agree with some of the points of the Iran deal and there are points that I believe we gave in on way too much. I don't think Reagan would have let such a deal go through wihtout showing a little more power and leadership. Now that is just my opinion. Allen West brought up some great points and just got me fired up this morning. I don't want war and I'm with you on that. Just a stronger leader heading up the POTUS position.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Now we are in a quagmire. If we go back on the deal, we wasted all the resources that went in to the deal, and look like a bully who doesn't stick to our word. If we go to war with Iran (which I agree would not be a good course of action) we look even worse as it looks like we did the same thing to Iran that Japan did at the onset of WWII: sue for peace, then attack. If we do nothing, we risk a nation that sponsors terrorism acquiring a nuclear arsenal. So we are stuck with no good options left available to us.

The fact is that nobody who opposes the deal has really offered any kind of valid alternative. This deal is flawed, but it's better than doing nothing... which WILL guarantee Iran finishes work on their nuclear missiles.

Sir, I respect LTC West for his service and his dedication to the mission. I admire him for his determination to saving lives knowing what he was doing to save them was wrong, and sacrificed his career for it. I do not like him as a man for how he's calling out the POTUS yet praising Israel. I didn't care for how when he was elected he went to congress kicking and screaming rather than learning and observing. He could've made a hell of a difference had he done the latter first, then started the first two. I'm not going to say the president or any president does everything correctly, but to blatantly disrespect him as a Soldier (or any military member) is just wrong, and not just because you have your 214 makes it legal to do so. I wouldn't do it in a personal manner to Bush or anyone else. It's a matter of respect to me, and I'm wired like that from my parents and my training in the Army. Why do we single out Israel every time something happens in the world? We do have a load of other allies last I checked, so what makes Israel so special? This whole "firebrand" politician (on both sides of the isle) thing is old to me and very tired. I'm tired of politicians focusing on another country's opinion of us, when they're not here. If Israel wants to fight or feel it's threatened, then go to war. It's your right. It's not your right to use us as your personal shield or manipulate our legislative body to suit your own desires, and they fall for it. LTC West could be so much more, and do so much more good to everyone in America. But he makes a joke of himself by demeaning himself and claiming it's because he's a Soldier. I am too, but won't do that to myself, and my loyalty in that same oath was to America. Not Israel, UK, Turkey or any other "ally" we claim or think we have. That was seven minutes of my life spent listening to him scream that I won't get back.

We should support all our allies and seek to work with them to build a more stable and prosperous world... however putting Israel on a pedestal like that makes me question his loyalty to this country. People forget that Benedict Arnold was an American hero before he became a traitor.

SSG (Join to see) - I whole heartedly agree. I have nothing against Israel, but every time we do something it's like "is it ok with Israel"? "What does their PM think"? Who cares..that's why he's THEIR PM, not our President.
