What are your thoughts on the Washington Commanders football team name?

I was a big fan if the Washington Football Team name. Sad to see it go. Commanders definitely plays into their Pentagon fanbase. I can see all the GOs and O-6s with "Commanders" hoodies already.

I think it’s as good as any name can be. Just something to get use to like the Cleveland Guardians. With today’s culture it was just a matter of time before the team names changed.

I think that the name is different and reflects the history of both the city and the team. However, it's humorous that the "rank-like" insignia is reminiscent of Chinese and old Soviet Uniforms. Especially, considering Dan Snyder's Republican Party donations and affiliations.

Confused. What are they commanding? Not my favorite team, but also not my least favorite. I think after a year (+) as "The Team" they would have been able to come up with a better, more imaginative name and logo. I think they took the easy way out when they became the Washington Football Team and they are continuing down that road.

HATE IT! They will ALWAYS be the Washington Redskins!!! There was NOTHING wrong with that name! I doubt very few Native Americans had a problem with that name, probably think of it as an honor! Go ahead and change the name to the “Washington White-Boys”, it won’t offend me, I would consider it an HONOR!
