Statistics say that veteran entrepreneurs are more likely to succeed in building a business than our non-veteran counterparts. What do you feel contributes to this and why?

We know how to work through hardships.

Being an entrepreneur is not easy, but well worth it.

I teach people in my book to start a side business vs. investing in the stock market.

Good luck!

Yes sir! As veterans we have a higher risk and stress tolerance that our counterparts cannot even fathom. Things such as deployments, being boots on ground, maintaining a higher standard in all aspects of life, it becomes second nature. Starting a side business takes all these attributes that veterans exhibit and I feel that being an entrepreneur is something that they should prioritize to transitioning veterans, especially straight into civilian life while these values are still fresh. I'd like to know more about your book. :)

The things which make is personal drive, resiliency, and mental toughness are just a few.

I know there are many more but I am getting sleepy. :)

We are goal oriented and that we tend to know what makes a difference. Meaning we have a sense of purpose and a concise solution to a problem.

Here's a funny example

When we were privates, it took a platoon of us to turn a lightbulb loose.

when we become higher ranking we learned to instill motivation to make that platoon turn a lightbulb loose.

I agree! That's a good one! As veterans we learned how to manage human assets to get a job done, that's something that people learn from experience, not from any text book. It's one thing to actually know leadership philosophies, it's another to practice it.
