I was reading "Heartland" by Sarah Smarsh. As I read, I began to realize I had been to each place she describe and near the end, she started mentioning names. I knew them personally. They weren't the names I was expecting.

Aside from that, it is a great book about growing up in poverty, ranch and farm life and changing political opinions.

How wonderful to read words that describe and chronicle a familiar experience or people

PO3 Phyllis Maynard I have always been a fan of biographies. Long winters. Have you thought about writing your story?

Call of Duty I read after meeting Lieutenant Buck Compton from Band of Brothers at a book signing in 2009. The Chuck Yeager book I read about 5 years ago. I was an extra in the movie bright shining lie and I have skim through that book and I have yet to read the book Ardennes 1944.

LTC (Join to see) I've multiple military books in my stack. I also began doing cameos in some independent films. Just when I thought I had faded into obscurity.

I couldn't find myself in the video where there was a burial at Arlington National Cemetery but I was one extra in dress blues at 2:40 in this first part how's the movie. One Captain from the National Guard had helped me get into OCS also help me get a part because he was in cameos in many movies like this one as well as in the line of fire and Apollo 13.

Correction, this was the one where I'm at 2 minutes 40 seconds. Mine is not worth mentioning but at least I got me to watch the movie and I have the DVD at home. Now I just have to finish reading the whole book.

LTC (Join to see) I have several military books in my stack as well. I started my cameo appearances again last year. We have a wonderful film festival here! I am also in a new music video. I thought I had made it to obscurity but here I am.

Silk Roads, by Peter Frankopan. I'm about 20 pages in, appears to be quite good. Been a Central Asian nut since I broke a leg at 12 years old and discovered the Mongols in a set of old history books my dad had.
