Would I branch MI or Aviation in order to be eligible for this? What branch does UAS fall under for Officers? 2019-10-19T10:28:26-04:00 2LT(P) Private RallyPoint Member 5144410 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is a National Guard UAS (drone) unit in my state that I would like to become a Platoon Leader with when I graduate from OCS. In the aviation branch, WOs manage UAS airframes. Commissioned officers have to specialize in rotary. In MICOs the UAS PL is an MI officer. Unfortunately, that is only one job you will have for a relatively short amount of time. There is no officer specialty that is strictly UAS unless you go warrant. Maybe as a guest you can attend BA and see their operations first hand. Bring doughnuts.
