She was flagged but never initially counseled or sent to nutrition. After a few months, she finally passed tape twice. This soldier just reenlisted for the second time and was put up for orders. She took 2 weeks of leave for the summer to visit her family and was called off of leave to do a tape test. The test failed and now a flag is back in place. What can be done for a soldier who was flagged multiple times for being overweight, but was never initially counseled or sent to nutrition? 2019-08-05T17:35:34-04:00 LCpl Private RallyPoint Member 4885060 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A female soldier had a kid and it took a little longer to lose the baby weight. The current flag is a valid flag. However, if the Command tries to initiate a Chapter for HT/WT, the packet is going to get rejected because the Command did not follow the required steps. And, they are not allowed/authorized to backdate counselings. The fact that she failed returning from leave appears to be indicative of a problem with controlling her weight. Bottom line is that a chapter will not be valid unless the unit followed all appropriate protocols. She should see Council. Thank you for your service. Since the counseling and nutritionist consults weren&#39;t completed the command won&#39;t be able to separate the Soldier until those happen. Help her pass the tape. She is validly flagged. They cannot chapter her for it since they did not properly counsel her. They can however bar her from re-enlisting and just let that run.
