What can I do during my military career to support a degree in supply chain management when I retire?

Go to school, The Army acquisition system has some great courses. Become a Spreadsheet & power point guru, as it seems to be all over where I work.

I wish I could point you to something in the military to assist you but I am not sure of any schools or specific training that can help. Outside the military I suggest checking out, https://micromasters.mit.edu/. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (as in the Ivy league University) offers online training for free and if you complete their program through the below website, you are automatically accepted to their Masters program. After you complete one year on the MIT campus, you earn a Masters degree from MIT.

A different thought, I am in the last semester of a Masters of Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University. I suggest you look into that program at either undergrad or graduate levels. The ID program is a mixture of SCM, Distribution, and Business Administration. TAMU's undergrad program has a 100% placement rate for graduates. Plus you are interested in continuing your service, TAMU has the largest Corps (ROTC) program outside the military academies. They are a very Pro-military school that really takes care of their veterans. And the best part is that you get to go to school in the Promised Land - Texas!!!!

MITx MicroMasters

MicroMasters is a new digital credential for online learners. The MicroMasters credential will be granted to learners who complete an integrated set of MITx graduate-level online courses. With the MicroMasters credentials, learners can apply for an accelerated master's degree program on campus, at MIT or other top universities.

I'd consider a better focused descriptor. Nobody in commercial sector knows what "supply chain management" means. However, if the descriptor is material ordering (contracting maybe), transportation, storage, and distribution, then the following stuff on your resume would be what your capabilities related to those tasks are. Your skill development would target the tangible activities in the logistics arena. Oh, everyone has a different perspective on what "logistics" is as well. If you say "I'm a logistics specialist", you'll get blank stares at the job fair. The response will be "That's nice, but what do you really know how to do?"

I don't know if it's still around (I'm talking 1970), but I attended a school for 3M training; Materiel, Maintenance, and Management. I should think that today's Army has a host of schools and courses to advance your degree major.
