SPC Private RallyPoint Member 5422327

I graduated from BCT and AIT 3 months ago but i was a holdover for my profile so i got my RTD on december 6th. and it still shows that i don’t have orders even though it’s been a month...... also i HAD orders to fort drum but i’ve been here for so long it just disappeared... do you think i should be going back if i was to get my orders. i talked to my sergeant who does the order paperwork and he still hasn’t gotten an update. was wondering what i can do on my part to get orders? What can I do to get orders after having graduated from BCT and AIT, but being a holdover for 3 months due to a profile? 2020-01-07T11:26:41-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 5422327

Find out if you even have orders any longer. If not you will need to get a new Request For Orders from whomever does your assignments. Wait patiently.
2. You are getting all of your benefits while you wait. You still get pay, medical etc. Make use of the time to better yourself.
3. Keep checking each week with the orders Sergeant. They will come in eventually. Take it easy.
2. If you are RTD then check with your unit leadership for order status. Perhaps your branch manager is waiting for a PCS cycle.
3. Look at it on a positive way, unless you really like the outdoors, Ft. Drum is near nowhere! Admin section deals with a lot Soldiers all the time, but that doesn't mean they lost your paperwork. Sometimes they have to wait to branch managers who also deals with a lot, moving people around. You said you had orders to go to Fort Drum...maybe you lost your spot to go there due to the profile, maybe branch is waiting for someone to PCS from there, etc. All you can do is to keep checking with Admin for updates. Again, I know it is frustrating, but just have to be patient. Good luck! Response by SSG Jose M. I'm shipping in February so I'm new to all of this. What is a profile and why would they hold you over for it??
