SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4266622 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My wife and I are dual military, we currently live off-post. Our lease is up in February and we will be moving to another apartment, however she’s set to go to NTC at this time. We need her here for paperwork so we can move, is there any regulation, form, or anything that can be brought up to her unit so she won’t go since we need her for the move? What can I do to keep my wife back from an NTC exercise so that we can move after our lease ends? 2019-01-07T13:32:24-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4266622 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My wife and I are dual military, we currently live off-post. This way, you are able to sign for her. Talk to someone at legal, to see what help they can provide for that. Your personal problems are seldom important to the service. Why do you both not have reciprocal Powers of Attorney?. Think smart for a moment- &quot; I&#39;m sorry LTC, I can&#39;t deploy/train/ etc. cause my spouse needs me to sign some papers!&quot; That is exactly what a POA does for you, and if you had any sense you both such have such locked you somewhere! You failed to support any point as to why you &quot;need&quot; her there any more than any other military dependent that doesn&#39;t want their spouse to go to NTC for a month. <br /><br /> It&#39;s not the Army&#39;s fault you decided to move out during NTC. It&#39;s not as if these are surprises - these rotations are planned months in advance. If you were at a civilian job and asked to skip work to move you would be told to plan better.
