If you are not Air Asslt qualified my unit had AA PT every Thurs until you went to school. Overall pretty good unit obviously that depends on you individual leadrshp. Check out the museum on post. Training wise you will get a lot of training but just like anywhere it also depends on the unit your in and your leadership. When I was there a year and a half ago I made the IMLC training packets to a fort Campbell version used with fort Campbell maps so I had everyone PVT and up understand how to do the basics in FDC. career progression wise you are in a great place. I showed up with just LRM, BLC, and sniper school. I left with my schools maxed out and was only there for 4 years with 2 deployments. They have almost everything from air assault, pathfinder, fries/spies, rappelmaster, master driver, UMO, BLC, Air Load Planner, etc. Also prepare to be in the field a lot or at JRTC or deployed. Overall great unit I can’t wait to go back. You’ll be in HHC but stay away from dudes in your company. Try to latch on to the Scout Plt, who are also in HHC and have the highest standards of any other unit in the 101st. Then go to Ranger school and reclassify 11B. Then go to the units that do the most combat and be all you can be for 20 years.
