What can I expect being assigned to an aviation unit as a 25U?

Hmm, that's a good question. I would guess that you would be in charge the the communications of the unit radios, computers, and any other electronics they may have.

The most unit-focused work will surround COMSEC and partnering with the AMSOs to ensure there’s good communication for flight and maintenance teams. Also retrieval and custodianship of secure fills in partnership with the S2.

Of course, you’ll also manage the computers and mobile devices of the unit and be asked endlessly for help with printers and frayed cables.

I was at Hunter AAF in Savannah GA in an Air Cav unit. There wasn't much difference between regular (support) units. The main difference was during field exercises you would be in charge of loading comsec on the aircraft and looking over the communications equipment in the aircraft and on the tents/building the TOC is setup at. Regular days were business as usual. Every unit is different so your experience may be different than mine was.
