Right now, you are going there to learn a trade on the Army's dime. Focus on the steak and not the peas.

Also, I found this little video after a 2 second google search:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xuy1OXQK4O4

You are getting paid and fed and roomed + learning a useful trade on the Army's money, what damn more do you need?Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Jun 27 at 2020 6:40 PM2020-06-27T18:40:14-04:002020-06-27T18:40:14-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member6053528

I went to ait as 12r a few years back and it was pretty good. It was 6 weeks when i went through. It was definitely more laid back than basic. We took a pt test sometime during our first week there and if you passed then on the weekends you could leave the barracks for about 8-10 hours which was pretty good. Fort Leonard Wood doesnt have alot on base but the mall is pretty decent to walk around and grab some food. Theres a dunkin donuts on post which was cool too. We could have cell phones on weekends only. It was a pretty good ait, a good amount of hands on learning too. Good luckResponse by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 29 at 2020 11:31 AM2020-06-29T11:31:24-04:002020-06-29T11:31:24-04:002020-06-27T10:31:20-04:00
