Nice weather 6365 days, except for periods of rain in the monsoon season. College classes, scuba diving, lots to do. I was there in 82-83. I would expect that they have the internet as well as cable TV. You won't like the Flying Teeth at all. Semper Fi. It was an awesome place to be. MWR had plenty of programs to keep the Sailors and other services busy. Scuba diving, horseback riding, 3 or 4 base clubs, an outdoor theater (that never really showed any movies), etc. It has a nice base exchange and commissary and I believe there's a McDonald's too. I do recall having cable TV as there's a cable provider on the island so you will probably have high speed internet too. It was a very family oriented base. You should have all the comforts of home there.

Leave the iguanas alone and watch out for the banana rats. :D Response by PO1 Rodney Bracey made May 1 at 2017 9:39 AM 2017-05-01T09:39:56-04:00 2017-05-01T09:39:56-04:00 SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member 2540392

You will have internet access. It is on the expensive side if you have it in your room. It is kind of like DSL with speeds that are like dial up, enjoy. The MWR has better internet, but you are sharing it with everyone else. Lots of free movies shown at the outdoor theatres. The galleys serve some pretty outstanding food, except for midnight chow. The MWR program there is great! There was wifi at certain spots but not sure if it is in rooms. I know the bowling alley and library had wifi.
