What color PT belt is worn on your Post? and who wears what color?

Almost every Post has different regulations regarding what color reflective belts are worn for PT. Some had hoped the new 670-1 would establish an across-the-board policy for color of reflective belts worn with the APFU, but alas it makes no mention besides "Command discretion".<div><br></div><div>To start off, the last Army Post I was at (Ft.Bliss) wears:</div><div><br></div><div>Blue - Officers</div><div>Green - NCOs</div><div>Yellow - Junior Enlisted</div><div><br></div><div>Additionally how do you guys feel about your posts policies regarding reflective belts? Personally I'm in favor of Ft. Hood and similar posts, where everyone wears one color w/rank pins. We're all equal in PT, why the need for different color belts? In fact, why the need for rank pins either?</div>

On Fort Polk it's yellow for everyone. I remember being at Hood. I love the fact that they had vest that displayed your rank and last name. <br>

Here at Jackson, people are wearing belts (all colors) as well as vests with name tapes and rank and everything.  I think it's out of control.

The standard yellow belt at knox, the wtb cadre wear blue/yellow road guard vests w/ name tapes. I wish the Army would loose the belt and just improve the incorporated reflective material on the tops and shorts and make it the standard for PT across the Army. Just seems redundant to me...

My vote is for either the Never Seen Invisible PT Belt or the Ultra Rare Black PT Belt.

Here on JBER we have three colors. It happened after it became a Joint base with the Air Force.
Blue - Officer
Orange - NCO
Yellow - Jr Enlisted

Each brigade is different on Ft. Riley from what I have seen, but I have been gone the last 9 months. In the CAB (aviation brigade) it is:

Blue - Officers

Green - NCOs

Yellow - Junior Enlisted

I agree with you 1LT Youngblood, should be all the same color. There is no need for rank when you are PTing. It only creates a distraction. All you need to know is who is in charge of the PT session you are in.

At rucker, officers blue ncos green, junior enlisted yellow, students wear orange. It works out nicely IMO. Never had any issues.

Bliss used to be yellow for soldiers and Green for leadership. While I was there they changed to green for NCOs, Blue for officers, yellow for enlisted, and red for medcom. Some units at Polk use yellow for enlisted and white for Leadership

This is one time I wish a tactical nuclear weapon had been used on the good idea fairy who came up with this idea. I would love to know the statistics of how many soldiers have actually been hit by a vehicle while doing PT. I would split the time frames from 88 to 05 and 06 to present. I would imagine the numbers would be absolutely astoundingly small. But safety!

Sir, I know there was an issue at Fort Lee where Soldiers didn't recognize the officers during PT and would get upset when they weren't saluted. This is one of the reasons why they started making us put rank on the PT belts. That, or wearing the different colors so that the NCO's and Officers would be visible while in PTs.

Back when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss it was

SPC and below- Yellow
CPL-CSM- Green
WO1-MG-Blue.

At Ft. Sill primarily yellow, in the winter months (when it is still dark in the morning).
Command Teams: Orange
Everyone else: Yellow

When I was stationed at Schofield Barracks it was Blue for Officers, Green for NCOs, and Orange for Junior Enlisted. MPs all wore Orange regardless of rank. Fort Shafter I heard was the opposite on the order of color.
