SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6768791 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am weighing the benefits of AD vs. staying in the NG for my next contract, and I plan to reclass to an MOS that requires about 20 months of training (35P). If I stay NG will those 20 months of training count toward AD for purposes of the GI Bill? I am trying to get as close as possible to 100% eligibility. What counts as active duty for GI Bill? 2021-02-22T21:12:23-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6768791 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am weighing the benefits of AD vs. staying in the NG for my next contract, and I plan to reclass to an MOS that requires about 20 months of training (35P). You need to be on Title 10 orders for more than 90 days to get 100% Post 9/11 GI if I&#39;m not mistaken. Last school I went to was 16 weeks and because of the way my state wrote the orders the time didn’t count. Basically deployments if you&#39;re in the NG. Trust me, if you deploy just to get a better deal in the GI Bill benefits, you will likely find the experience pretty miserable. If you deploy to serve, and that has a side benefit of getting better GI Bill benefits, then it will be worth it.
