Civics, Economics, Debate, a good focus on US History (I know some schools who don't make it past the Civil War)... also government... too many people have zero grasp on how our government actually works but somehow believe they can do a better job.

If even half of this is covered, it would greatly affect the caliber of citizens we're unleashing on society.

Life 101. A curriculum divided into eight semesters covering the following:

How to write a check, establish and maintain a personal budget (balance a checkbook as well), apply math to various student loan rates to find the best deal in the long term (cover credit card offers as well for the same purpose), how to use an iron, how to use a washer and dryer, how to use a stove/oven (both gas and electric), how to write a resume and cover letter, do two mock job interviews per semester (even better if it's for a job they want), learn how to spot a scam, learn how our government is supposed to work, how to change a tire, how to check and change the oil in a car, and most importantly: how to think for themselves and think outside the box.

Put financial management in- and don't let anyone that has anything to do with lending in on curriculum. Teach our kids to save and spend within your budget. Not everyone needs a $30K car as they start their first job. Common sense education to help them get themselves out of the mess their elected leaders have put them in...
