What do I need to do if I am in the process of an inter-post transfer and I came down on an assignment?

Currently in the process of an inter-post transfer that came down as an assignment. What do I need to do? Do I just clear my unit and head over to my new unit’s S1 to in process? It’s a different brigade in the same division. Just making sure I got what I needed so far.

Did you ask your supervisor, NCOIC or PSG before you came on here to ask? They should have given you some information on what to do.

So you came on assignment to another Brigade within your Division? Usually the Division cuts a 4187 directing you to report on a certain day. You clear your unit, but not your post. Then you report over to the BDE S1 on your report date. You won't inprocess the post reception center at most posts.

Assignments outside your Div comes from DA HQ and take precedence over inter Div transfers. Check with the S1, it will depend on how much time before the assignment, and if the Div wants to fight it.
